Roar

March 21, 2017

lion

For a moment I turn to run
And I hear Your mighty roar
As it thunders against my existence
Reminding me what I am made for.

It stops me dead in my tracks
As I tremble and shake in fear
The Lion of Judah
Whispers tenderly to my heart “Child. Come near”.

From what did that roar save me ?
From what was I warned?
You’re a mighty fortress, my God,
With glory and splendor
Beautifully, majestically adorned.

So roar deeper God.
Roar louder.
Roar harder than before,
Roar until my entire being fears Your name
To the depths of my soul, to my core.

“Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.” -Psalm 86:11
