- If repentance is what your blood demands
May I always be willing
With open hands
To cry out and spill my heart
To the One who formed the land
And breathed life into the seas.
If waiting for your comfort
Means I cry lots of tears
May that comfort be strong
And sustain for years.
For my weak and feeble heart
Seeks to be fresh,
To have a new start.
And as the sun rises
I sing and rejoice
For your mercies are made new
With the light and morning dew.
Oh praise this great God who knew
I’d need many days of light and mercy.
Grace to wake up again
And fight for all His goodness,
To exchange my sin for His beauty
Abide. Rest. Repeat.
