I want to wade through deep waters with you,
Teach you how to swim.
Throw you the Life Preserver
Always bringing you back to Him.

I want to hear about the deserts
Take me with you through the wilderness,
Run towards the warmth of the sun
Sit in awe and bewilderment.

I want to raise up your arms when they fall, dear one
I want to dust off your weak and feeble knees,
Be right there beside you
When your faith is feeling weak.

I want you to know the imprint
Of Him writing you on my soul,
These eternal bonds from Heaven’s Scribe
Taking back what the enemy stole.

I want us to live in amazement
Of what His love has done,
His authoring of our lives to be knit together
All made possible through His Son.
